Introduction- Rainy Season/ Monsoon

The rainy Season also called as the monsoon season is a pleasant season after scorching heat of summer. People wait for rain eagerly, it’s a beautiful thing to watch it just raining. In India the rainy Season lies between June to September, the rain varies in different regions and also its intensity. For example, mawsynram, Cherrapunji is likely to witness the most rain while other areas in India need to wait for rain. The Rainy Season is a reason for various joys and celebration. In Hindu Calendar, the beginning of Rainy reason is marked as Sawan; there are various rituals and customs attached to it.

बरसात का मौसम जिसे मानसून का मौसम भी कहा जाता है, गर्मी की चिलचिलाती धूप के बाद एक सुखद मौसम होता है। लोग बारिश का बेसब्री से इंतजार करते हैं, बारिश होते देखना एक खूबसूरत बात है। भारत में वर्षा ऋतु जून से सितंबर के बीच रहती है, वर्षा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में भिन्न- भिन्न होती है और इसकी तीव्रता भी। उदाहरण के लिए मावसिनराम, चेरापूंजी में सबसे अधिक बारिश होने की संभावना है, जबकि भारत के अन्य क्षेत्रों में बारिश की प्रतीक्षा करने की आवश्यकता रहती है। वर्षा ऋतु विभिन्न खुशियों और उत्सव का कारण है। हिंदू कैलेंडर में, वर्षा के कारण की शुरुआत को सावन के रूप में चिह्नित किया गया है; इसके साथ विभिन्न अनुष्ठान और रीति-रिवाज जुड़े हुए हैं।

Advantages of Monsoon season

Monsoon is a crucial factor in farming and agriculture. There are a lot of farmlands that largely depend on it to rain. Rain brings happiness of farmers along with itself. When the rains are late, the farmers are the most affected. And because India is primarily based on agricultural, the Economy is also affected.

Monsoon/ Rainy Season brings relief from the scorching heat and assures cleaner, fresher air.

खेती और कृषि में मानसून एक महत्वपूर्ण कारक है। बहुत सारे खेत हैं जो बारिश पर निर्भर करते हैं। बारिश अपने साथ किसानों की खुशियां भी लाती है। जब बारिश देर से होती है, तो किसान सबसे अधिक प्रभावित होते हैं। और क्योंकि भारत मुख्य रूप से कृषि पर आधारित है, अर्थव्यवस्था भी प्रभावित होती है।

मानसून / बारिश का मौसम चिलचिलाती गर्मी से राहत दिलाता है और स्वच्छ, ताजी हवा का आश्वासन देता है।

The rainy Season often brings occasion for cultural, family gatherings. People like to visit their friends, sit with the people they love in balconies gazing at rain munching on pakoras and chai. This is an essential part of the Season.

Rains make the ambiance happier; the sight of seeing kids playing in the shower, splashing water, getting muddy clothes is a great thing.

Everyone has a different attachment, emotion-related to rain. The rainy Season indeed is a season of emotions.

बारिश का मौसम अक्सर सांस्कृतिक, पारिवारिक समारोहों के लिए अवसर लाता है। लोग अपने दोस्तों के साथ यात्रा करना पसंद करते हैं, उन लोगों के साथ बैठते हैं जिन्हें वे बालकनियों में प्यार करते हैं, पकोड़े और चाय पर चबाने वाली बारिश पर टकटकी लगाकर देखते हैं। यह सीज़न का एक आवश्यक हिस्सा है।

बारिश माहौल को खुशहाल बनाती है; बच्चों को शॉवर में खेलते हुए देखना, पानी के छींटे मारना, मैले कपड़े पहनना एक बड़ी बात है।

बारिश से सभी का एक अलग लगाव, भावना-संबंधी है। बारिश का मौसम वास्तव में भावनाओं का मौसम है।

Problems related to rainy Season

Though rain is considered a social happening, there are reasons why it creates trouble too. The lack of proper drainage in a few areas bring water logging problems, that leads to traffic jams and hindrance in people’s daily routine work. They can’t be sitting with pakoras in their balconies all the time. Also, flooding of water in areas comes across as disastrous; the lack of soil absorption due to lack of trees increases the water on the land surface and hence leads to flood. The houses get drowned, the people are struggling to commute, and in some cases, it gets even harder to survive.

The recent cases of floods in Karnataka, Maharashtra are well proofs to validate that point.

Acid rain is another big problem; it could destroy farms as well, the level of toxicity in the air gets washed away by the water and causes more harm to people and creatures when it reaches down.

हालाँकि बारिश को एक सामाजिक घटना माना जाता है, इसके कई कारण हैं जो परेशानी भी पैदा करते हैं। कुछ क्षेत्रों में उचित जल निकासी की कमी से जल जमाव की समस्या होती है, जिससे लोगों की दिनचर्या के काम में ट्रैफिक जाम और बाधा उत्पन्न होती है। वे हर समय अपने बालकनियों में पकोड़े लेकर नहीं बैठ सकते। इसके अलावा, क्षेत्रों में पानी की बाढ़ विनाशकारी रूप में आती है; पेड़ों की कमी के कारण मिट्टी के अवशोषण की कमी से भूमि की सतह पर पानी बढ़ जाता है और इस कारण बाढ़ आ जाती है। घर डूब जाते हैं, लोग आवागमन के लिए संघर्ष करते हैं, और कुछ मामलों में, जीवित रहना और भी कठिन हो जाता है।

कर्नाटक, महाराष्ट्र में बाढ़ के हालिया मामले उस बात को मान्य करने के लिए अच्छी तरह से प्रमाण हैं।

एसिड रेन एक और बड़ी समस्या है; यह खेतों को भी नष्ट कर सकता है, हवा में विषाक्तता का स्तर पानी से धुल जाता है और नीचे पहुंचने पर लोगों और प्राणियों को अधिक नुकसान पहुंचाता है।

Conclusion of the Essay

The Rainy season is high seasons; people enjoy it the most; we all eagerly wait for it. Though there are a few hazards of it as well, one should find measures of rainwater harvesting so that the rainwater doesn’t go to waste.

There could be better measures of controlling flood, as the building of more dams and growing more trees.
